The William L. Callahan School Parent Teacher Forum (PTF)

The WL Callahan Parent Teacher Forum offers a way for parents/guardians of Callahan students to become an active part of the school community. Parents and teachers meet on a monthly basis to plan enriching, fun activities for Callahan students and their families. PTF members also help to coordinate volunteers and plan for special events. PTF coordinates and runs fundraisers throughout the year to support special activities as well as teacher/ classroom requests. We provide help in the classrooms and assist at all school functions such as Open House, the Book Fair, and Holiday Shop, etc.

There are many ways you can become a vital part of our PTF even if you cannot make the meetings. You may be able to volunteer and help out during school time or after school activities. You may contact Lynn Clark at 568-1822 if you have any questions regarding the PTF or if you would like to sign up and help.

The PTF does follow guidelines set by our By-Laws and a quorum of five persons is needed for any matter that requires a vote. Officers are nominated and voted for by members of the PTF.

The current officers are as follows:

President: Lynn Clark
Vice-President: Kirk Parkin
Treasurer: Veronica Spicer
Secretary: Lee O’Conner

Our next regular PTF meeting will be held on Tuesday, 1/8 @ 6:30. Yearbook meeting on Tuesday, 1/15. 6:30
 
Our next Family Fun Night will be held on Friday,  1/25, 6:00- 8:00pm.
 
We held a community blood drive on 12/21 & collected 10 donations, saving 30 lives.
 
Our food drive tally at the end of December was 1302 can goods!!
Top classes were;
   #1- Mrs. Auclair's class- 183 cans.
   #2- Mrs. McLaren's class- 142 cans
   #3- Mr. Aubin's class- 137 cans
 
We will continue to collect canned goods throughout the rest of the school year.
